BOC Investment is "the main investment carrier of the direct investment business of BOC and a key component of its corporate and financial market businesses".  It takes "Investment plus Professional Management" as the core mode of the development of its direct investment business in the future, with emphasis on the investment in corporate equity and non-performing assets together with fixed assets investment and management.

The Asian markets where we operate, especially Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, as the key emerging market economies, have maintained a strong and steady growth, and thus continued to account for the biggest portion of our investment portfolio. With the rapid economic growth in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau, our corporate customers as the industry leaders in all sectors have also enjoyed a fast expansion, with their capital increasing rapidly. The direct financing products that BOC Investment offers supplement the corporate capital of our customers as well as help them optimize their capital structure, connect to the global financial market and uplift their market image, finally realizing a great leap forward in their strategic expansion and achieving a win-win result.

While focusing on developing our principle operations, we are also placing remarkable emphasis on risk management and internal control, so as to ensure the progress of our businesses in compliance with the prevailing laws and regulations. We have established internal audit posts to optimize our overall risk management system and continued to push on the application of various kinds of quantified models and technical means to identify, signal, evaluate, monitor and prevent all sorts of risks. While enjoying a fast organic growth, we have ensured the continuous improvement of asset quality and enhancement of financial position as well as the proper configuration of asset structure and diversification of revenue sources.
